箏が洋楽器と紡ぐ音楽
FUSION OF HORIZONS: NEW MUSIC FOR KOTO
箏は江戸時代から現在に至るまでのあいだに、めざましく発展を遂げた楽器である。
京都市立芸術大学日本伝統音楽研究センターは、2015 年に横浜インターナショナルスクールが開催した箏と洋楽器の国際作曲コンクールの受賞者・入選者の作品の一部を披露する演奏会を開催する。また公演ではコンクールの受賞者・入選者の作品に加えて、20 世紀、21 世紀に作曲された箏のための作品も取り上げる。
この演奏会が、箏の新しい展望を供する機会となることを願っている。
The koto has shown a remarkable development from the Edo period to the present time.
In 2015, the Yokohama International School held an international composition competition for koto and western instruments.The Research Centre for Japanese Traditional Music, Kyoto City University of Arts, introduces some of the competition’s prize-winning works and composers. The programme will include other works for koto from the 20th and 21st centuries.
This concert creates a time and a space where Japanese music can confront dilemmas of modernity, and experience an encounter to stimulate its further journey.
